Celebration weekend commenced on Friday 1st July with Headmaster’s Concert in the Soothill Hall and culminated with the Ashvillian and Leaver’s Service and the OAs vs 1st XI cricket match on Sunday 3rd July.
It was wonderful to see so many OAs from across the generations at so many of the events and enjoying Tours of the College.
The Majestic Hotel hosted the Annual Ashvillian Society Dinner on the Saturday evening with almost 100 OAs in attendance – we welcomed back Kenny Heng from the USA and Thalikan Ramalingham from Malasia who both made special trips for the celebrations. The Dinner saw us unveil a new 1st XV Rugby Honours Board , showing 1st XV Rugby Captains from as far back as records allowed (1929). It will be displayed in the newly refurbished Cricket Pavilion from September
We look forward to welcoming you all back again next year – 30th June to 2nd July 2017 – for a very special 140 year Ashville Celebration Weekend.
