Appreciation: Robin Jarrett

It is with sadness that Ashville College  announces  the passing of former teacher Robin Jarrett on Saturday 14th  January 2017.

Robin joined Ashville College in 1985 to teach Maths but shortly after was involved in the setting up and running of BTEC Business, with excellent results for the pupils who took this path through the Sixth Form. As well as his work with BTEC and Maths, Robin oversaw Careers advice. He took retirement in 1999.

Originally from Nottingham, Robin was a devoted enthusiast on the North York Moors Railway, serving for many years as a volunteer guard.

Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

Information Update

We are attempting to improve our current database of information on old Ashvillians in the hope that we can put it to better use in future to help both past and present students.

It would be really useful if you could fill in this quick online form with your current details (even if you think we have them).

Many thanks.

If you have a story, feature, letter or photograph you would like to submit to the website or the Update, please email Tom.

And thank you for your contributions without which the Update would not exist!
