Ashville College Headmaster To Leave School In Summer 2010
Ashville College’s Headmaster, Andrew Fleck, will be leaving at the end of the Summer term 2010, the school has announced today (Friday, June 19).
Mr Fleck joined Ashville in 2003, and over the last six years he has made a significant contribution to the continued success of the 800 pupil-strong co-educational independent school.
Ashville’s chair of governors Peter Holt said: “Andrew has been an outstanding headmaster of Ashville. These days the job of a head is an extremely demanding one. Andrew has managed to draw upon all the different disciplines of teacher, mentor, leader and manager with great skill, understanding and care.
“We now have the difficult task of looking for his replacement, and the search will begin immediately. Being the head of Ashville College is a position to which many will aspire, but one for which only a few will have the right qualifications and qualities needed.
“We thank Andrew for his loyal service and wish him and his family the very best for the future. We also look forward to working with him during the next academic school year.”
Mr Fleck will take over the post of headmaster of Sedbergh School in September 2010.
